Linocuts : Narelle Badalassi

Exhibiting 8/11/2010 - 24/11/2010

An exhibition of new linocuts from Narelle Badalassi

Widely known for her quirky and interesting letterpress stationary and design and her accomplished linocuts, Narelle has lived and worked locally and prolifically for over 2 decades.
Recently Narelle has worked under her pseudonym Ruby Victoria Letterpress, and can be found at several Tasmanian design markets.

Linocuts sees a departure in Narelle's recent work, from the domestic to the wild. Linocuts is a series of hand-coloured native bird prints, rendered from an original illustration. Intuitive and emotive, this body of work hints at a world we might otherwise miss and a privacy reserved for only the patient.
